We have a free support group for women on Facebook where I share daily nutrition information during the week. I also run a seven day mini-challenge centered on Primary Food topics (the things that nourish you that you don’t eat or drink). Empowering women to heal their relationships with food and their bodies is my passion, and I love providing a space for women to learn and to support one another.
I am especially passionate about this month’s nutrition theme: disease prevention. I love talking about how you can heal your body and prevent disease through diet and lifestyle changes. I’ve written an eBook (Broken Table) to share my story, which is why I’m so passionate about this subject. Fifteen years ago, I was being treated for cervical cancer, high cholesterol, chronic rhinitis, and rheumatoid arthritis. I was taking several medications including a statin med with some nasty side effects. With the help of functional medicine, I was able to change my diet and lifestyle.
