I was feeling less than my best yesterday, so I decided to ditch the content calendar for a day and talk about how I was feeling. I wasn’t sick. I just wasn’t feeling my best. PMS struck a day early and messed with my plans. We’ve all been there.

What I wanted to share with you is how, as a health coach, I handle days like that. It’s easy to just throw in the towel and do nothing. Many of us swing the other way and just power through at the expense of honoring our bodies.

What I do is show up with a healthy dose of self-care throughout the day. Normally on video days, I get up a little early to have time to put on make up and do my hair. I get to work a little early to have time to take a 15 minute break to video without effecting my work schedule.

Yesterday, I showed up for my live chat as is. I also re-arranged my to-do list to focus on lower intensity items that didn’t require my usual laser focus. I’d rather wait a day and do a good job than power through and put in less than my best effort.
