For the next 30 days, we’re going to chose 3-5 self-care items and commit to doing them every day. I’ve included a link to a habit tracker below. I’ve also included a list of possible self-care activities you can include.

Some of these items may seem silly at first glance, but–speaking from experience–when you’re struggling with depression or anxiety or you’re totally overwhelmed by life as a single mom, even the simplest of self-care activities can be a struggle. I can’t tell you how many times as a single mom I forgot deodorant, because my morning routine was interrupted by “Mom, I can’t find my…”

So… Find 3-5 items from the list below or add your own and commit to 30 days of loving you!

  • Mediate
  • Pray
  • Skin care routine
  • Journal
  • Walk your dog
  • Play with your kids
  • Do you hair
  • Put on a favorite outfit
  • Spend some time in the woods
  • Play an instrument
  • Paint
  • Draw
  • Organize a space
  • Create & keep a sleep routine
  • Start a compliments file of all the nice things people say to you.
  • Watch the clouds
  • Enjoy your meals (no email, calls, texts, etc.)
  • Unplug for 30 minutes
  • De-clutter your social media feed
  • Take 5 deep belly breaths 3 times a day
  • Dance like no one is watching
  • Stretch your body
  • Exercise
  • Get outside for 30 minutes
  • Laugh
  • Take a nap
  • Call a friend
  • Spend some time cuddling with your cat (or donkey. I have both. 🙂 )
  • Soak in a tub
  • Ask for help
  • (What would make you feel good?)
