Yesterday, we ate 5 servings of vegetables. Today, we’re going to eat 2-3 servings of fruit.

If you’re eating low carb/keto, stick to berries. If you’ve given up sugar or are sensitive to sugar, stay away from high sugar fruits like bananas or apples. For everyone else, enjoy whatever fruits make you happy, but try to include at least one serving of berries, since they’re superfoods.

Why do we want to include fruit?

First, it helps control sweet cravings. Our bodies are programmed to want sugar, and fruits have natural sugars that slowly release in our system without creating sugar spikes.

Second, like veggies fruits are loaded with nutrients and antioxidants that help slow aging, protect against cancer, and boost our immune system.
