We’re currently doing a 10-day juice fast, so I thought I would share with you our two favorite juice recipes. Each makes about 24 ounces.

GREEN CITRUS
Ingredients:

4 green apples
4 oranges
1 handful of spinach

Directions:
1. Wash and core apples.
2. Peal oranges.
3. Wash spinach.
4. Juice.

SWEET GREEN
Ingredients:
2 green apples
1/2 pineapple
2 handfuls of spinach

Directions:
1. Wash and core apples.
2. Cut up pineapple.
3. Wash spinach.
4. Juice.

If you’ve seen the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead, then you’ve heard of Joe Cross. If you haven’t seen it, you should!

Rewatching it inspired my husband to do a juice fast to kick his sugar addiction. I joined him partly to support him and partly to kick start my summer health goals. I’ll tell you all about it Friday! 😉

We purchased the Reboot with Joe 101 Juice Recipes to get us started. The first recipe is our favorite and is exactly as Joe makes it.

The second started with his recipe, but we changed it a little to suit our tastes. Kale just didn’t juice well for us, so we opted for spinach. We tried it with bok choy as well.

If you prefer smoothies or just don’t have a juicer in your kitchen, feel free to throw the ingredients in your blender!
